I am so sorry to here of your loss. I have thought of Martha often over the years,  she was truly a woman of her time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you,,,,, Carmen Brink and family

I am so fortunate to have the best Aunt in the world. Yes, she is truely loved by everyone. But at every family function I always found myself saying "Will Aunt Martha Be There?" I will always remember how proud she was of me, how thankful and loving she was. How badly she wanted to be at my wedding. Every guy I dated she would ask if I was getting married. Finally I found the right fellow and she came up to us both and asked Peter "when will you marry Heidi, I want to be at your wedding before I die". That day happened May 17, 1997, and I know she had a fabulous time. In the past year I have moved over 900 miles away. I didn't think I would see her alive because of her failing health. But I had the chance to come to Michigan recently and visited her. Her and I both knew we probably would not see each other on this earth again. I knew this chance was my goodbye. I spoke with her and agreed with her feelings, but also reminded her of how much I loved her. Now back home I felt so strongly that she would be called home to the Lord soon, so I wrote her a letter and mailed it. I dont know if she received it because she passed within a week of my mailing. I can only hope she received it and read it before she crossed over to be joined by her husband, sisters (including my Omi), and brothers.  I cant imagine anything stopping her from breezing through the golden gates and being embraced by our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the kindest person on earth, and an excellent example of who I wish everyone could be like. I can only hope I lived by her example. My thoughts and prayers go out to her children, grand children, my cousins and family who will attend Aunt Martha's funeral. Financially, I can't be there in person, but know my heart is there and I love you all. Aunt Martha will NEVER be forgotten. God Bless my family, and God Bless Aunt Martha.
