She survived World War II as a young girl. She later studied and worked in Warsaw, Poland. After a very brief courtship with George, she got married and later moved to the U.S. She started a new life in a foreign country, but immediately made the U.S. her new home.
Krystyna was a strong, caring, intelligent, loyal, and deeply faithful woman who was a role model to all. She fiercely loved her family and was incredibly proud of both her children and grandchildren. There are not enough words to describe her kind heart, generous and patient demeanor, and her selflessness.
Krystyna and George loved to travel and instilled that love in her family. She had a great sense of tradition, values, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Ann Arbor, the Polish- American Congress, and the Ann Arbor Polish-American community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George (2010), and is survived by her daughter Izabella, son Thomas, daughter-in-law Tracey, grandchildren Alexander and Kate, several nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Poland, and many, many friends. She will be deeply missed by all who love her.
