Kimberly Ann Bales

After a brave battle with breast cancer, Kimberly Ann Bales, age 60, of Van Buren Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Kimberly was born December 6, 1961, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Joyce Ann and Carl Allen Bennett.

Kimberly graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1979 and would pursue her calling to help those in need with a degree in nursing from Washtenaw Community College. Kimberly was an invaluable member of both the Ann Arbor Veterans Administrations Hospital and the Detroit Veterans Administrations Hospital. She was passionate about helping veterans in her community and would work to improve their health for more than 25 years.

Kimberly was not only an excellent nurse but also an accomplished flower arranger. She was a vibrant individual who was full of life and was driven to help others.

Kimberly is survived by her husband, Wain Bales; her son Jordan Fish of Kirkland, Washington; her mother Joyce Ann Bennett; her brother Rodger Bennett of Indiana and her brother David Bennett of Utah. Kimberly also leaves behind her two beloved dogs Luna & Blu

Kimberly was preceded in death by her father Carl Allen Bennett & her brother Steve Bennett.

A memorial gathering of family and friends for Kimberly will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104, followed by a funeral service at 5:30 PM.
