Julie’s lifelong passion was teaching high school Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science. She taught in Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, and Georgia for almost 40 years. Her dedication, kindness, and expertise positively affected all her students and colleagues. Along with her passion for teaching, Julie loved animals, spending time with family, and playing cards. She was a dedicated friend, always willing to listen and was a ferocious advocate for those she loved. She enjoyed traveling and discovered a knack for foreign languages in recent years, learning Spanish for work and German for pleasure. She is a graduate of Farmington High School, Albion College (B.A. Science) and Kent State University (M.A. Ed).
Julie spent her time living in Farmington and East Tawas, MI. She leaves behind her husband Thomas, and sons Devon and Daniel Wolf and granddaughter, Leila. She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Richardson and siblings Bill (Jennifer) Richardson, David (Diana) Richardson, Doug (Kristin) Richardson, Eve (Glen) Milligan, Kathy (R.C.) Paschke, Lee Anne (Jim Diedrick) Richardson, and many adoring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Andrew Richardson.
For those who knew Julie, they also know Ferris, her hearing service dog. Ferris has been her constant companion and has been at her side since 2011.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for January 12th, 2024 at 2:30PM, at Nardin Park United Methodist Church, 29887 W. Eleven Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48336.
