Jon Christopher Elliott

Jon Christopher Elliott, age 64, passed away peacefully after a 4 year battle with kidney failure and lymphoma on Thursday, May 13th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Jon was born February 20, 1957 and grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan where he met the love of his life.

Jon and Alexis remained in the Ann Arbor area where they raised their family and enjoyed all the local festivals and happenings around town, including involvement in community theater. He was immensely proud of his family and relished in every vacation, tradition, celebration, and gathering with loved ones. An avid and lifelong learner, Jon was always up for an adventure and his unceasing positivity was contagious. He enjoyed being a fun and devoted Grampy, staying involved in his children's school activities, taking neighborhood walks, reading, word puzzles, and could always be counted on to recall a fact, story, or statistic. He was the epitome of a kind-hearted soul, an exceptionally devoted husband and father, and a friend to all who knew him. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Bette Elliott. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Alexis, daughters Jennifer (John) Kelleher and Melissa (Alexander) Hardecki, sisters Joanne (Jim), Nancy, and Susan, and grandchildren Amelia and Jack.

Visitation with the rosary will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:30am with 1 hour of visitation prior with family at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
