Henry was born June 27, 1934 in Emmet County, Michigan to Harley and Elsie Mallory. He was the youngest of 10 children. Henry married the love of his life, Nova V. Amick, June 22, 1955. They came to the Ann Arbor area shortly after where he worked in a garage prior to his appointment to the Fire Department in 1956. After a long and dedicated service, Henry retired in 1985 as Assistant Fire Chief of the City of Ann Arbor.
They then moved to Strawberry Lake in Michigan and then back to the Pellston area in later years. During this time they spent many years together traveling to Florida to spend their winters. Henry enjoyed taking frequent car club trips with his antique cars, and visiting friends and family. He always enjoyed visiting local firehouses during his travels to chat and enjoy the comradery of the brotherhood of firemen. He was very special and deeply loved by his family and everyone. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nova, May 21, 1997; his sisters Cecilia and Florence; brothers Clifton, O.K., Harley, Jimmie, Warren and Floyd; and one infant son, Daniel Mallory.
