Grant L. Peters died peacefully surrounded by family on March 14, 2021 at 4:12am on his 83rd birthday. He was born in Jackson, Michigan, the son of William and Dorothy Davis Peters and lived most of his life in Ann Arbor. He was a member of the first graduating class of Pioneer High School in 1956. Grant was stationed in Augsburg, Germany 1956 to 1959 in the Army Medical Corp and then returned to Ann Arbor where he worked for Parke Davis and attended Eastern Michigan. Grant spent most of his career in sales, working for Gillette, Carter Products, Dr. Scholl’s and retiring from Schering Plough. He married Jo Ann Wohlford in 1965 and the family lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, New Hampshire, and Missouri before returning to Ann Arbor where the children grew up and he lived the rest of his life. Grant won many sales awards throughout the years which gave the family opportunities to travel frequently in the U.S. including Hawaii and abroad most memorably to Germany shortly after the fall of the wall. The family also enjoyed regular trips to Disney World while the children and grandchildren were growing up. Grant enjoyed skiing in his younger years, traveling, golf, Michigan football (holding the same season tickets over 40 years) and fishing trips to Northern Michigan. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann, son Grant Wohlford Peters, daughter and son-in-law Tracy Lynn and Matthew Guyer, two grandchildren Katie Ann and Matthew Grant Guyer, and his brother and sister-in-law William and Nancy Peters. A celebration of life is being planned for a later time.
