Dennis Michael Broderick passed away on Wednesday, March 7th at the age of 71 in Adrian, Michigan. He was born on June 25, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. He lived the majority of his adult life with his family in Ann Arbor; spending the bulk of his career working for the United States Postal Service in Dexter. Though his heart ultimately gave out he had the most loving heart for his family and friends. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of great stories, deep conversations, philosophical ponderings, and a wry wit. He was adored by his loving family and will be greatly missed. He was a man of integrity who would do anything to help those in need. Dennis touched the lives of many, who fondly called him: Mr. B., Denny, Pops, or Grandpa. Dennis’ love affair with culture, people and their customs, and their culinary traditions was fostered when he served his country in the United States Army Security Agency in West Berlin. He was a self taught chef, an avid reader, and collector of many books. He got the biggest kick out of his grandchildren; they brought him immense joy. Dennis is survived by his daughters Bryne Broderick (Anas Orfali), Ellen Parsons (Curtis), and Claire Broderick; sons Padraig Broderick (Mandi), and Jack Broderick (Sarah); his treasured grandchildren Jacob, Elise, and Nathan Broderick, and Brodie Orfali; step-mother Lena Broderick; brother Wayne Broderick (Jane); nephew Thomas (Dana) and niece Kelly; ex-wife and friend Linda Broderick. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Broderick. He will be forever missed, loved, and cherished. Friends may call on Monday, March 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
