Bruce Miller Allison, age 78, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away on January 22, 2023 surrounded by his family. Bruce was born and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan and went on to become a three-sport athlete and student council president at Ypsilanti High School. He was proudly inducted into the Ypsilanti Community Schools Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. Bruce continued to play football at the University of Michigan and graduated in 1966 with a B.S. in Design from the College of Architecture and Design. It was at U of M where he met the love of his life and wife of almost 53 years, Susan Lund. They were married on January 30, 1970 on a snowy day in Ann Arbor. Bruce and Susan had many adventures together traveling internationally and living all over the country as Bruce worked for the University of Michigan Alumni Association and for several advertising companies. Following a move back to Ann Arbor to start their family, Bruce enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry.
Bruce was honored to be affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity as well as The VP Club. One of his proudest accomplishments was designing the document that sits on the moon which established the University of Michigan Alumni Charter and was placed there by the all-UM Crew of Apollo 15. Another rewarding moment was saving a man from drowning in the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh, PA in 1976. Bruce also used his art background to design championship rings and watches for various Michigan football teams, including the ring for his own 1964 Big Ten and 1965 Rose Bowl Championship team.
Bruce will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving personality and magnanimous nature. He was fiercely loyal to his family and his many friends and would have moved mountains for any of them.
