Schairer, Benjamin “Frank” of Brighton, Michigan died Wednesday, November 16, 2011; he was 90 years of age. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 7, 1921 the son of Benjamin and Myrtle Schairer. Upon graduation from Cooley High School he married Margaret Burton on June 27, 1942; Margaret preceded him in death on February 11, 2010. Frank was in the United States Army during WWII serving in the Pacific Theater. He was the owner and operator of a Shell service station on the corner of Van Dyke and Outer Drive in Detroit for many years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States in their motor home; socializing with their many friends and especially spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his son; Dr. John and wife Caroline, daughters; Jeanne Schairer and Mary Walburn and husband Dan; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephew and friends. A funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel of Ann Arbor. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M.
