

Art was born in Suttons Bay, Michigan to Herman and Barbara Walters. He married the love of his life, Patricia (Linger) Walters, on May 28, 1960. Together, they raised five children.
Art was deeply involved with his Catholic faith, attending St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church every Sunday. He worked as a plumber for 40 years and was an avid golfer and hunter. Art cherished spending time with his friends and family. Art was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years, achieving the rank of 4th degree.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Walters; his children: Rich (Shannon) Walters,
Roy (Tom) Helter, Marcie (Scott) Alcorn, Mary (Patrick) Root, and Martha (Michael) Hubler; his grandchildren: Jimmi Alcorn, Scott (Lana) Root, Seth Hubler (Emma Dickinson), Marlee Walters,
Kristin Hubler (Brendan Tincher), Jakob Hubler, Alex (Kambria) Walters, Emily (Josh) Taft, Haylee Root, and Hannah Alcorn (Crews); and his great-grandchildren: Ryleigh,
Carter, Kohnor, Madison, Jaxson, Harrison, Kaydan, and Hudson. He is also survived by his brothers, Patrick (Myra) Walters and Ben Walters, and his sister Leona Kalchik.
Art was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Barbara Walters; his brothers Alfred Walters, Donald Walters, Emil Walters, Firmin Walters, Peter Walters, and Phillip Walters; and many aunts and
uncles.
A visitation for Art will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at
Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. A rosary service will occur later that evening at the same location.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, a visitation will take place from10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104, followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 1299
N. Ridge Road, Canton, MI 48187.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Art’s memory may be made to Arbor Hospice.
