Arlette Maria Cerdas-Rojas, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on August 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 2, 1995, in Heredia, Costa Rica, to her beloved mother Kattia Lopez, Arlette brought warmth and love into every room she entered.
A cherished daughter, and sister, Arlette was known for her infectious smile and indomitable spirit. She was a woman of deep Christian faith, which gave her immense strength throughout her life. Arlette's faith was the foundation of her resilience, guiding her through life's challenges and giving her peace in her final days.
Arlette was a fierce and loyal individual, always putting her family first. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and was a beacon of support for those she loved. Her warmth and dedication were evident in her work at the Chop House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she was not just an employee but a friend to many.
She is survived by her loving mother, Kattia Lopez, her devoted brothers, Jesus, and Arles, as well as her dog Ramen.
Arlette’s legacy is one of love, faith, and unwavering loyalty. She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory and a community that was better for having known her.
A memorial visitation for Arlette will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to4:00 PM at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104.
A celebration of Arlette’s life will occur Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 403 S 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Visitation will resume until 9:00 PM.
