Still missing you, Arlene!  Think about you often….

Arlene was a delightful friend.  I enjoyed her company and conversation.  We had lunch together along with Barb Colwell almost weekly for many years post retirement.  She was so involved in the present and very committed to her interests and passions.  I will miss her and will think of her often.

I have known Arlene for 43 years having been social workers at Ford Hospital. 
In the last 15 years she and another friend would meet for lunch every other month. I looked forward to stimulating conversation and her strong passion for others. 
Unfortunately I just found out about her passing yesterday.
I will miss her enthusiasm for her causes and great conversation.

It is with deep sadness that I say goodby to our dear friend Arlene Huff. Arlene was a champion for social justice and an active member and supporter of the Immigration Action Coalition at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Ann Arbor.  She volunteered weekly with the Washtenaw ID Project and helped many who otherwise had no US issued identification, get a county photo ID card. Arlene loved opera, engaging conversation, and a good cup of coffee. She will be missed. Cheryl Valentine, Saline, MI

I am sad to hear of Arleen's death. We have shared many Curves workouts together through the years. I remember her telling me that she would get down on the mat at Curves so she could practice getting up from being on the floor! Such  a practical woman!

Arlene was a faithful member of the Latin America Task Force of Interfaith Council for Peace & Justice for many years.  Her presence at our meetings, her willingness to participate in any possible way was quite a support for our work together.  Her quest to learn to speak Spanish at a later stage in life, and all of her efforts to do so were inspiring!  Rest in peace, Arlene.

So sorry to hear of Arlene's passing. She will be missed at AAUW, my condolences to her family.

Arleen has been a friend for many years at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor and we also shared membership and activities in the American Association of University Women's-Ann Arbor Area.  She was  interested in the world around her!self.
