Andrew David Feldkamp passed away on Wednesday, November 27, after his very brief battle with cancer at the age of 45. He was born on September 19, 1979 in Adrian, Michigan where he grew up with his loving parents, David and Karol, and sister, Angela. Andrew graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1998, followed by the University of Michigan in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management in 2007, from University of Michigan-Dearborn. As an engineer, Andrew worked as a Transmission and Driveline Calibration Manager, working his entire career at Ford Motor Company. He married his high school sweetheart, Shaun in 2004. He was very actively involved in his children’s sports by coaching both their softball and baseball teams. In addition to coaching, he continuously showed love for the University of Michigan Wolverines, and the Detroit Lions and Tigers, while playing vintage baseball himself.
Andrew is survived by his wife Shaun Feldkamp and their two children Alexander (15) and Samantha (12), his parents Dave and Karol Feldkamp, his sister Angela (Jay) Beck, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on December 13th, from 12pm to 4pm and/or December 14th from 10 am to 1 pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel (403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48104).
In honor of Andrew’s love for sports, the family requests that guests wear sports attire from his favorite teams: University of Michigan, Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Turnin2, Michigan Bulls, Novi Heat, or South Lyon East. No formal attire please!
