Ruth Kracht, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bretheren Cemetery near Elkhart, IA.
Ruth was born on December 29, 1923 to John and Mary Abuhl in Slater, Iowa. Ruth received Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of 14. She wanted to spread the good news that only Jesus saves so she later became active in vacation Bible schools and camps in rural Iowa and Kansas. She later went to Brazil as a missionary for nine years. Ruth met and married Dean Kracht in 1964.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and her sisters-inlaw, Marilyn Abuhl and Louetta (Leroy) Kracht.
