Rebecca J. Rankin

Rebecca Rankin, 33, was born on March 13, 1978, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. Becca had prayed a prayer inviting Jesus into her life when she was only 3 years old and seemed to really understand and mean it. But when she was about 14, she realized she hadn’t seen the fruit in her life, so really repented of her sins and turned her life over to God at that point, trusting in God’s saving grace as in John 5:24 “He who hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Becca was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, friend, etc. Her passions were ministering for the Lord, writing, friendships, and music. She loved teaching speech and writing at the Network as well as teaching private violin lessons. She also loved being able to stay home and serve her family. She has been courageously battling health issues the last 3 years and never really gave up, but her body finally did.

She is survived by her husband, Dustin Rankin and their children, Karis and Gabrielle, parents, Brian and Kristie Swanson of Slater, IA; sisters, Noelle (Brian) Gibbons of Ankeny IA, Rachel Swanson, Abigail Swanson, Faith Swanson,and grandmother, Ivy Juon of Slater, IA, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
