Michael Layton Baker

Michael Layton Baker, age 63, of Bondurant, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Michael was born to William Layton Baker and Ardyth Irene Lawrence on December 28th, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa.

There are no formal services at this time. Michael will be laid to rest at the Lincoln Township Cemetery at a later date.

Michael graduated from Ankeny High School in 1977, after high school, he worked on the R&R Railroad. Later, he moved to Bondurant and worked for Interstate Battery as a warehouse worker. Michael married Rhonda Kay Freeman on October 12th, 1985 in United Methodist Church in Ankeny, Iowa.

Michael enjoyed working with his hands making sun-catchers. He also enjoyed working on his motorcycle and riding it.

He was survived by his daughter, Rebecca Jo Tracy-Baker; mother, Ardyth Irene Lawrence and siblings, Gary Baker, and Kathy Baker. Michael was predeceased by his father, William Layton Baker.
