Haruyuki was born on July 4, 1949 to Tetsuro and Shizuko Majima in Tokyo, Japan. He attended Senshu University in 1971 and graduated with a degree in Economics. Haruyuki will be remembered for his love of golfing and walking with his friends, working as a representative in the grocery wholesale industry. It was his passion to search and market good Japanese foods. He immigrated from Japan to the United States in 1975 with hopes to establish a future here as he was fascinated by the culture in this country. He was a restaurant manager at Shinbashi Restaurant in New York City. He also enjoyed life in various states in the country, including Hawaii, California, Kentucky, Tennessee, New Mexico, and Iowa.
Haruyuki is survived by his children, Tomoko Kosinski of Boston, MA, Kentaro Majima of Richmond, VA, and Alexander Majima of Los Angeles, CA; and sister, Hiromi Majima of Tokyo, Japan.
Haruyuki is preceded in death by his parents, Tetsuro and Shizuko Majima.
