Faye Ellen Haines, 65, went home Monday, January 24, 2011. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 27, at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First Street, Ankeny. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 28, at First Family Church, 317 SE Magazine Road, Ankeny. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 29, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska, with a memorial celebration following at Emanuel Fellowship Church, 8345 Crown Point Ave, Omaha.
Faye was born June 17, 1945 in Hildreth, Nebraska to Russell and Elaine Johnson. She graduated from Benson High School in 1963. Faye went to Iowa Western and mastered in Criminology. She went to the University of Omaha for professional clowning. Faye retired from Qwest after 26 years. Faye’s love for the Lord was overflowing for the mission field in 26 countries.
Faye is survived by her children, Carrie (Joe) Nelson of Altoona, Marsha (Brian) Jones of Ankeny, and David (Lori) Haines of Bondurant; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Lynn (Kathy) Johnson, Sharon (Blubber) Manzor , Kim (Betty) Johnson, JoAnn DeLashmutt, and Janet Horan
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Gary Johnson.
