Dorothy K. Landsverk, 84, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First St., Ankeny. Interment will be in Oralabor Cemetery.
Dorothy was born December 1, 1926 in Rockville, MO to Louis and Minna Meyer. She attended the Detroit Lutheran School For The Deaf until 8th grade, and graduated from Kansas School For The Deaf. She married Odis Landsverk in Aliceville, KS on January 23, 1954. They raised their two children in Ankeny.
Survivors include her husband, Odis Landsverk of Ankeny; son, Ivan (Bonnie) Landsverk of Ankeny; daughter, Sally Nickerson of Burnsville, MN; grandchildren, Chloe Landsverk and Michael Nickerson; and brothers, Herbert Meyer of Burlington, KS, and Louis (Betty) Meyer of LeRoy, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
