She worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation for 41 years. Barb worked as the administrative assistant and made many friends during her years there.
Barbara was enamored by her grandchildren. She spent as much time as she could with them, from babysitting, picking them up from school, all the way to Fun Fridays at Five Below and Caseys. She enjoyed spending time with the girls, getting to do crafts, baking, going shopping, and just all around spoiling them.
Barb is survived by her son Jared (Tatum) Smith; granddaughters, Logan and Perrie Smith; and her older brother, Dave (Marcy) Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Milton Smith, and her younger brother, Ron Smith.
