Born in Wilmington, CA on April 3, 1927 she was the loving wife to Jose Avila, who preceded her in death.
Beloved mother to Robert, Frances, Frank and Teresa Avila, wonderful grandmother to Bobby, Linnette, Sadie, Joseph, Jaclyn, Nellie Jean, Kenny and Lisa. Also, 12 great-grandchildren and many more who called her “grandma.” Her most important job throughout her life was being a Mom and Grandmother.
Nellie had five sisters and five brothers.
