Myron "Mike" LeRoy Lindell

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 610 15th St, Ames, IA 50010. There will be a luncheon following the service at the church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th St, Ames, IA 50010. Entombment will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Chapel Hill, Merle Hay Mausoleum, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50310.

Myron “Mike” LeRoy Lindell was born on September 19, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Amos Lavern and Rose (Hasstedt) Lindell. He graduated from Perry High School in 1955. He was united in marriage to Mary Louise Bathie in 1968 at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames, Iowa.

Mike was a systems analyst at ISU, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed baking, wood working, and most of all, spending time with his family. Mike was a great family man; a person of integrity and he looked out for others and was helpful to all who needed his help. Mike had a deep love for the Lord.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Lisa Secrest; two sons, Matthew (Danni) Lindell and Scott (Katie) Lindell; seven grandchildren, Erin (Chris Baker, Savanna (Dustin) Hartmann, Jake Lindell, Madison (Cory) DuBois, Rebecca (Jason) Kimbel, Michelle Potter, and Ben Krist; fourteen great grandchildren, and brother, Jerry (Linda) Lindell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughter, Lori Krist; parents, and a brother, Don Lindell.

Memorials may be directed to the family and will be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date in memory of Mike.
