Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th Street, Ames, Iowa, 50010. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery following the service.
Beverly was born in Ames, Iowa, to Roy Leland and Paulina (McLaughlin) Scheuermann on May 7, 1933. She graduated from Ames High School in 1951. She met Ernest E. Olsson Jr in High School and the couple were united in marriage in Ames, Iowa on June 15, 1952. The couple then lived in California where she worked as a Medical Secretary for the United States Air Force. They then moved to Arizona, and Missouri and settled in Virginia where they raised their four children. Ernest and Beverly then moved to Nevis, Minnesota in 1983 where they owned and operated a lake resort. In 1986, Beverly began a career as a Realtor while she was still overseeing operations at the lake resort with Ernest. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and playing tennis.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband in 2019; her parents; a brother, Lee Scheuermann, and a sister, Neta Henry. She is survived by her children, Karen (John) Olsson-Grist, Kurt Olsson, Eric Olsson, and Christian Olsson; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
