William Arthur Scott

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the East Mausoleum Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Gil Lain officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E.

Interstate 40, in Amarillo.

Bill was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Syracuse to

Raymond O. and Isabelle Mabary Scott. He graduated from Syracuse High School after which he enlisted in the Navy. Bill was a World War II veteran and a member of

Paramount Baptist Church.

He married Patricia “Pat” Warner on Aug. 4, 1948, in Dexter, Ore. They had three daughters, Karen, Carol and Joyce. Bill retired from Colorado Interstate Gas Co. after 34 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen Jones; and a sister, Twyla Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pat; two daughters, Carol Nickerson and husband Jerry of San Augustine and Joyce Mullins and husband Ken of Highlands, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kim Luckett and husband Shane, Brandon Bogue and wife Sarah, Allison Jones, Brian Jones and wife Jacoby and Kelci Whatley and husband Ryan; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Elaine, Peyton, Colton and Kameron.
