Wanda Pauline Hamrick 78 of Amarillo passed from this world February 16, 2023.
She was born April 12, 1944 in Strafford, Texas to Granvil and Hazel Preston.
Wanda was a truck driver and drove her own truck for 30 years, she loved her career and the freedom of the road. She won many awards along the way including her million mile, and no accident award. Wanda was a strong willed woman who accomplished whatever she put her mind to. She loved her family with everything she had. A woman of faith that could not be waivered know matter the circumstance through times of joy and sorrow.
Wanda is survived by her son; Shane Eden, daughters; Teresa Zambrano, and Wandelle Holguin, sisters; Ethel Maxwell, and Reba Hyer, grandson; Braxton Holguin.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Alvin Hamrick passing on 6-4-2015 and Robert McEwen passing on 6-10-1996. Wanda will be missed by both family and friends.
