Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Griggs Schooler Gordon Pioneer Chapel with Gene Goodwin of First Baptist Church of Valle De Oro and Mike Kirschbaum of Faith Tabernacle, Merino, Colo., officiating.
Virginia Breeding was born May 4, 1919 in Hereford to David W. and Margie Shepard. She was raised in Dimmitt and served as a deputy sheriff after high school. Virginia married the love of her life, Harold “Bill” Breeding, on April 30, 1946. Some of her favorite words of wisdom were, “I Love You,” “When Are You Coming To See Me?,” “Did You Eat Anything Yet?,” “I’m Sorry,” “Good Gussie,” and “May God Grant You His Grace, Peace, Mercy, Strength, Courage, Guidance, Wisdom, Knowledge and Love.” Virginia loved taking care of her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Breeding.
Virginia is survived by a son, James D. Breeding of Estes Park, Colo; two daughters, Shelia Goodwin and husband Gene of Valle De Oro and Janice Bogart and husband Gary of Amarillo; grandchildren, Deborah and Mike Kirschbaum, Bonnie and Jimmie Goodwin, Connie and Kenny Nab, Jonathan and Tracy McIntire, Rebekah May, Kyle and Jordan Bogart; 6 step-grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
