A celebration of Theodore’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10am in the Griggs Schooler Gordon Pioneer Chapel, 5400 Bell Avenue.
Theodore was born on May 12, 1927 in Oakland, California to Theodore Wayne and Mary Ellen (Sizelove) Albertson. He was a “people person”. The kind of man who made an impression on just about anyone he came across. He was United States Navy Veteran who was assigned to the USS Yorktown. Following his service to his country, he held many jobs. Moving his family south from Iowa, he began a career with Southwestern Investment Company. Rising up to upper management, he traveled the country training new employees. After he left the company, he ventured off into the motel managing Super 8 Motels around the country; again moving to train and open new locations. He loved to camp and do just about anything outdoors. He was the Camp Ranger of Camp Don Harrington of the Boy Scouts of America for 17 years. In his life, he was a member of the Kawanas and Toastmasters; winning awards in Borger, Perryton, and many other places.
Theodore was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Majery G. Alberston; and his second wife, Angel Albertson, his parents, Sons Richard Allen and Jimmy Dean; Brother Grant and Grandson Nathan. Those left to cherish his memory are sons Theodore “Ted” Wayne Albertson and wife Pam of Amarillo, David Albertson and wife Susan of Phoenix, Arizona, Daughter Diana Lynn of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and 5 step children.
