Steven Earl Lovelady

Steven Earl Lovelady, 48 of Amarillo passed away January 16, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Washington Avenue Christian Church with Rev. Jim Shelburne officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Steven was born in Amarillo on April 11, 1964 and was raised in Dumas. He graduated from Dumas High School. Steven started racing sprint cars at the age of 16 and had an extreme passion for it. He married Kim Lively in 1989 and had their first child Caleb in 1992 and had their daughter, Jordynn in 1995. Steven was an incredible father and adored by his children. At the same time, he was so proud of both his kids. He made an impact on everyone he met. Steven had a strong faith in God and was greeted by his mom Reba Joyce Lovelady when he got to heaven. He was incredibly loved by racers from Kansas to Oklahoma. He will truly be missed and never forgotten. Steven is survived by his son, Caleb Lovelady of Amarillo; daughter, Jordynn Lovelady of Amarillo; father, Bobby Lovelady and wife Debra Lovelady; sister, Donna Morgan; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Caleb and Jordynn want to say a special thanks to Marty and Amber, Joe Klonoski, Danny Davidson, Donnie Hartranft, Kenneth Jones, and Shawn Burton for being such great friends to our father. He loved you guys.
