Steven Boyd Davis

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 14, 1961, in Lubbock to Clare “C.B.” and Laura B. Davis. Steve moved to Amarillo at age 6.

He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1980 and was awarded a two-year wrestling scholarship at Richland College in Dallas, where he won the state championship as a sophomore. After Richland, he attended Texas Tech University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering technology in 1985.

Steve began his career in the commercial and residential construction industry working for Reynosa Construction for more than 10 years, followed by self-employment as a general contractor. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include two sons, Blake Boyd Davis and Jacob Lucian Davis; two brothers, Mark W. Davis and Robert W. Davis; and two sisters, April F. Davis and Randi R. Davis-Ingram.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
