Sondra Hawkins 86 of Amarillo passed from this world October 30, 2022.
She was born on April 30, 1936 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to A.V. and Francis Chalfant.
Sondra married Cecil Hawkins on February 12, 1956, they had a full wonderful 67 years together before her passing. She attended ballet school in Houston, Texas, in her younger years. Sondra was very active with her church, teaching Sunday school and taking care of anything special going on at her church. During her husband’s military service, she looked after many different families that had their men in service, caring for them as if they were family. Sondra was a homemaker, taking care of her family, she was the go to person.
She is survived by her husband; Cecil Hawkins, two children, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Sondra will be missed by both her family and friends.
