Shirley K. White

Shirley K. White of Amarillo entered the gates of Heaven on April, 23, 2023. She was born to Calvin and Audrey Cook on April 27, 1955 in Kermit, Texas. She met the love of her life Harold White and on September 21, 1980 they married and spend 42 wonderful years together. Shirley was a loving, kind generous and giving woman. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed playing games on the computer and especially “Words with Friends”. She was born and raised in Texas, she was a true Texan through and through. She and Harold enjoyed traveling, but she loved being at home and making sure everyone was cared for and had what they needed and wanted to feel at home. She work with TSA as a screener for 6 years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Amarillo SPCA or to the Diabetes Foundation.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father in law Archie and Gladys White; brother in law Ted White and sister in law Bonnie Clift.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Harold; her daughters Terri Jackson and husband Tony; Natalie White and Kimberly Maness and husband Bob. Sisters Donna McNutt; Laretta Hawkins and Sandra Phillips. Grandchildren RJ Throp; Chance Maness; Annabeth Jackson and Jessica Smith. Great grandchildren Riley and Grayson Thorp. Brother in law Ronnie White and wife Barbara along with many loving nieces and nephews.
