Sherman Warren Stewart, 51 of Amarillo passed away April 16, 2012. A memorial service will welcome family and friends on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Home, 5400 S. Bell. Sherman was born July 31, 1960 and was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He played football, basketball and baseball at Caprock High School and loved all sports in general. His greatest love was that of his family and many friends. Those who knew him appreciated his fun personality, giving heart, and his great smile. Sherman taught his family that this life is very fragile and we should all take care of ourselves and laugh and smile more. He will be missed greatly but know Sherman is with God now along with his mom and dad, which his family is grateful for. Sherman will be missed by his brothers, Bobby and David; sisters, Kim, Jerri and Jamie; uncle, Jim Covington; aunt, Cynthia Lill and several nieces and nephews.
