Ronald was born June 15, 1947 to Howard and Lena Walton in Amarillo, TX. Ronald graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1966, soon after joining the United States Army where served in Korea and Germany. Ronald would later marry his loving wife Cheryl Gibson on February 1, 1978.
Ronald worked for the United States Postal Service beginning in 1983 until his retirement in March 2004 as a Letter Carrier.
Ronald dearly loved his wife Cheryl and his pets and was a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donnie.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife Cheryl Walton of Amarillo, TX, a sister Shirley O'Connell of Henderson, NV and three nephews and one niece.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St, Amarillo, Texas 79109. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Bell Avenue Church of Christ, 1600 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas 79106. A graveside service will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 14200 Texas Plains Trail Interstate 27, Amarillo, Texas 79119.
