Buck Black was born in Berlin, Oklahoma to Joe and Myrtle Black on November 11, 1939. He was a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone. His family was very important to him. He was a strong, patient, kind, loyal, had a bit of a sense of humor, and a look on his face that told you when you were in “trouble”. We coined that the “Black Look”. He worked as a produce manager for many years at Piggly Wiggly, United Supermarkets, and Food King and at Nissan in the parts department prior to retiring. He enjoyed walking in his yard looking at and photographing his flowering barrel cactus. He also enjoyed old cars including a 1951 Ford Coupe he restored himself, playing golf, and woodworking. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Clifford Neoma Musick Black; son Rusty Black; four brothers Loyd, Wayne, Max, Jerry Black and a sister Wava McClellan.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Mary Ann Black; his children: DeNell Nelson and husband Mike; Rhonda Jaques; Linda Church and husband Allen; Mark Giles and Steve Giles. Brother Gary Black and sisters-in-law Lila Black and Vonell Black along with many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and other extended family.
