Richard "Rocky" Minor

Richard A. “Rocky” Minor, 83 of Amarillo passed away November 27, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November30, 2016 at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Steve Lindsey officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Rocky was born January 12, 1933 in Washington, Vermont. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. Rocky worked for Murtex for 48 years. He married the loved of his life Wanda Minor and they were happily married for 63 years. Rocky loved to travel but most important to him was spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Floyd Minor and sister, Lucille Minor. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Minor; daughters, Donna Minor and Rhonda Hutcherson and husband Aubie both of Canyon; granddaughter, Amanda Gandy and husband Jake of Lubbock and sisters, Barbara Ewen and May Minor; grandchildren, Kenneth Hutcherson, Tammy Cavanaugh, P.J. Madden, James Hutcherson and Mike Hutcherson; also by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
