Richard served his county as a Specialist in the United States Army for 4 years, he was a surgical tech. He was a Biology instructor at Amarillo College for over 30 years. He started the Amarillo College Fencing Association. He was a master pianist and composer, as well as the curator at Amarillo College Natural History Museum. Richard handed down his passion, knowledge, and love of fencing, model ship building, and Lepidoptera to many generations of students and friends. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
