Raymond A. Wells

Raymond was born October 9, 1937 to Raymond and Gladys Wells in Hereford, Texas. Raymond graduated from Hereford High School in May 1956. He married Joyce Eloise Wells on December 23, 1956. They had two children: Raymond Eugene Wells born May 9, 1958 and Ramona Joyce Wells born June 12, 1960. Raymond had 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Raymond was a talented musician at a very young age. He sang special music at multiple churches and was selected to perform in the Golden Anniversary High School Orchestra, Chorus and Band in St. Louis, MO on April 16, 1956. Raymond retired from Coca-Cola after 41 years of service; he received an appreciation letter from the owner of Coca-Cola for marketing Diet Coke in Amarillo. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing as a hobby.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; Raymond and Gladys Wells, his wife Joyce and a great-grandson: Tyler Mitchell.

Survivors include 2 children: son; Raymond Wells and wife Retha, and daughter; Ramona Wells all of Amarillo. Grandchildren: Rebbeca Mitchell and husband Andrew of Amarillo; Rachel Pike of Kansas City, MO; Jeremy Andrew and wife Lezlie of Austin, Texas; Ray Wells and wife Stephanie of Amarillo; Victoria Plascencia and husband Ricky of Amarillo; Riley Wells of Amarillo. His sister Minnie Alice Rudd of Hereford, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
