Ray graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, MN in 1958 and later enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army on April 19, 1965. There he attended Airborne School September 5th to September 24, 1965 where he graduated and served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. His time in the Army included a tour in Vietnam. During his time in the Army Ray received several badges and awards including : Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle M-14), Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, and the National Defense Service Medal just to name a few. Ray was honorably discharged on April 18, 1967.
Ray has spent the last 26 years in Amarillo, TX as an honest businessman and entrepreneur. Ray enjoyed spending his time traveling by air as the pilot of his own plane and by water as the captain of his boat.
Ray was a devoted Christian man and a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, as well as a devoted father, husband, and friend. His keen sense of humor, wisdom, and compassion will be missed by all.
Ray was survived by wife Billie Lou Fuller (Malloy) of 23 years, son Lawrence Fuller of Forest Lake, MN, daughter Lori Wacha (Steven) of North Branch, MN, son Nicholas Fuller (Tiffanie) of Forest Lake, MN, grandchildren DeNay, Kyle, Zachary, Kacey, and Conner.
Preceded in death by his father Lawrence Fuller and his mother Ida Fuller (Benke).
