Friends and family will gather for visitation on Wednesday, January 22 from 6pm to 8pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 6969 E. Interstate 40 in Amarillo. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held in the funeral home’s Chapel of Memories on Thursday, January 23 at 10am with Pastor Jeff York presiding.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden of Last Supper.
Nancy was born on May 27, 1936 in Bellflower, California to Morgan and Millie (Jared) Rhodes. She was married to Raymond Marvin York on May 29, 1953. Together, they shared 66 beautiful years of marriage.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Milton, Cotton, and Donnie Rhodes. Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, two sons, Jeffery York of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jay York of Amarillo, Texas; daughter Cindy Rex of Fritch, and sister Esther Brownlee of Montgomery, Texas. Nancy also leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
