Visitation will be held from 9am to Noon on Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. A celebration of Michael’s life will follow at 2pm in the Chapel of Memories with Scott Edwards-Elder presiding. Michael will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Last Supper.
Michael was born on October 04, 1963 in Tulia, Texas to George and Freddie Daniel. He attended Palo Duro High School after the family relocated to Amarillo, where he played on the school’s football team. He loved football. Watching, playing, it did not matter so long as he was involved. This love for the game translated into his love for The Dallas Cowboys. As anyone who knew Michael would attest, he never met a stranger. He genuinely loved people. His favorite pass time was sitting around talking with anyone who needed or wanted to listen. This was usually done around a grill where Michael would be found cooking for any hungry belly that was nearby. His passion was the grill. Feeding not only people’s bodies, but their souls as he ministered the word of God to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed speaking of the Lord and Savior and using his past as means to bring people closer to Him through fellowship. All of this failed in comparison to what he loved beyond measure, spending time with his family. He adored his family. He had only begun to build relationships with his children and grandbabies before he was called home to take his place among the Heavens.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother George, and sister Cynthia Roland.
Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Lisa Lamberson, with whom he shared nearly 29 years of life with on and off. He was her soulmate and God saw fit they spend his last years together. He leaves behind his parents, George and Freddie, Sisters Rowrena, Beverly, and Carolyn; His beloved sons Michael and Deziren , daughters Tashika and Dakina; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
