Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Rev. Rick Harrison officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors.
Maxine Minter was born July 30, 1925 in Martin County to Clarence Grady and Mary Louise Standefer. She graduated from Stanton High School. Maxine was a retired vice president of banking in Amarillo and was most well known for her collection successes. In her younger years she was active in her church, Hillcrest Baptist. Maxine played harmonica in country bands around town, was a member of the Harmonica Club and volunteered at the V.A. She was a loving mother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all she knew and loved.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Minter, a son, Kenneth Minter and two brothers.
Maxine is survived by a son, Dan Minter and wife Beverly of Haltom City; two sisters, Lois Hill of Amarillo and Jannie Linney of Stanton; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren..
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
The family will receive guests and friends Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
