Mary Beth Walker

Mary Beth was born on September 29, 1933 to Sam and Dovie Griggs. She grew up in Amarillo and attended Amarillo High School. She married Kenneth Walker on March 23, 1951 and together, they shared 71 years of marriage. Mary Beth was a home maker and she also kept up with the books for her and her husband’s businesses. She was also a loving Mother to her four children. Mary Beth’s passion was taking care of her family. She was a kind and generous soul who was always the first one there whenever someone was in need. Her compassion and generosity to others will be missed.

Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dovie Griggs; her brothers, Leslie Griggs and Leon Griggs; her husband, Kenneth Walker; and her daughter, Amy Schachmann.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her sons, Guy Walker and wife, Carol, of Hereford, Texas, Tim Walker, of Amarillo, and Clay Walker, of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Amanda Howard and husband, Jerry, of Hereford, Texas, and Zach Walker, of Hereford, Texas; and her great-grandchildren, Dylan McDaniel and wife, Lauren, of Canyon, Texas
