Mary Beth Martin 79 of Amarillo passed away December 1, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Sherman Eastland officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 I-40 East. Mary Beth Martin, age 79 died peacefully on December 1, 2015 at her daughter’s home. Mary was born January 31st, 1936 in Tenaha, TX. She met and married the love of her life Gene Martin in 1951. They shared thirty three years together before Gene passed away in 1984. Mary loved life. She loved animals, children, gardening, playing bingo, and having friends and family stop by to visit. But, most of all, Mary loved being a Mom and Mammaw. She believed that her children were the greatest living monument to her life. Mary was a wonderful mom and mammaw who always kept an endless supply of cookies for her grandchildren. She always had stories to share and words of wisdom for all who came by to sit at her kitchen table. She leaves her imprint on the hearts of her four children, Angela and Bill Kleespies, Mike and Sandra Martin, Gina and Dustin Montgomery, and G’Anna and Andrew Dent; her eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for all the love and care they have provided over the last two years.
