Maria Guadalupe Reyes

Maria Guadalupe Reyes, 69 of Amarillo passed away November 17, 2014. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Mrs. Reyes was born October 13, 1945 in San Louis, Mexico to Jose Carmen and Priciliana Gallegos. She was married to Reynaldo Reyes since 1965 and they had a long wonderful marriage. She was a Guadalupana at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years. Mrs. Reyes was a great cook and loved to cook for all of her family. Her family was her life and she cherished the time she spent with them all. She was also a very talented seamstress and loved to sew. She was preceded in death by her husband Reynaldo Reyes; two sisters and 1 brother. Mrs. Reyes is survived by her children, Alicia Reyes, Rey Reyes, Carmelo Reyes and Andy Reyes all of Amarillo and Santos Reyes of Louisiana; sisters, Agapita Pena of Weslaco, Texas and Gavina “Minnie” Guillen of Amarillo; brother, Jack Gallegos of Amarillo; also by 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
