A celebration of Dolly’s life will take place on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10am in the Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum Chapel, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Dolly was born on February 04, 1920 in Columbia, Pennsylvania to George and Sarah Jane (nee Aument) Marley. On November 11, 1945 she married her beloved Dale McLaughlin. Together, they raised two amazing sons. Her boys are a testament to her beliefs of God, Country, and family. Her sons married wonderful women who adored Dolly. Jean and Rhonda both loved Dolly and never considered her a mother in law, but rather a mother in love. Dolly was a bookkeeper for the Amarillo Independent School District for 27 years. She and Dale were members of the Golden Spread Coachman and International Coachman Club. They enjoyed many memorable trips with the organization. Dolly was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was in the Solid Gold Choir and the Sanctuary Choir before health reasons caused her to stop attending. Dolly had a tremendous faith and is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jacob, Mang, and Bill Marley, husband Dale, son Randy; grandsons Tony McLaughlin and Kenny Warren. Those left to cherish her memory are her son “Pete” McLaughlin and wife Rhonda, daughter in love Jean McLaughlin; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many other loving family and dear friends.
