Lisa Lynn Horner, 44 of El Dorado, Kansas passed away December 16, 2012. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dale Travis, Pastor of Family Life Fellowship officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Lisa was born in Peoria, Illinois and moved to Amarillo in 1977. She attended Palo Duro High School and then Texas State Technical Institute where she was enrolled in the Administrative Secretary Program. At the time of her passing, she was attending Butler County Community College where she was majoring in Liberal Arts; she wanted to be a radio personality. She worked most of her life as a waitress because she loved working with people. Lisa was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She was giving, kind, never met a stranger in her life. She was outgoing, funny, bubbly, free-spirited, and had a zest for life. She also loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved all of her family and left a lot of beautiful memories with them. Lisa and her brother shared a lot of good times and were best buddies; they always found a way to have a good time no matter where they were. Lisa looked up to her twin sister and they always had a special connection. They could look at each other and tell what the other was thinking. Lisa and her mom were alike in many ways and she even called her "mommy". Lisa loved dancing, music, especially Bob Seger, karaoking, watching movies, and the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, Lisa deeply and truly loved her children and they were her whole world. She lovingly called her daughter "Jessi Toad", her youngest son "Biti Boo", and her oldest son "Joshie". She would want them to know that being their mother was the greatest joy and privilege of her life. She was proud of each of her children and wanted them to know more than anything else that she loved them will all her heart and that she will continue to love them from Heaven. She will be watching over them all of their lives. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard LaForge; grandfathers, Frank LaForgey and John Yeomans; grandmothers Phoebe LaForgey and Helen Yeomans; uncles, Tommy Eller and George Yeomans; and aunts, Bonnie Pelly and Shirley Eller. Lisa is survived by her sons, Justin Horner of El Dorado, KS and Joshua LaForge of Los Angeles, California; daughters, Jessica Horner of El Dorado, Kansas and Ahley Ince-Newton of Austin; mother, Mary Yeomans-Steele of Amarillo; step-father, Jesse Steele of New Boston, Texas; brother, Steven Steele of Amarillo; sister, Laura Post and husband Wade of Amarillo; nieces, London Steele of Haysville, Kansas and Sarah Post of Amarillo; nephew, Casey Cooper of Amarillo; aunt, Helen Ann Pittman and husband Ray of Springfield, Missouri; uncles Johnny Yeomans and wife Darla of Chillicothe, Missouri and Jim LeForgey and wife Maggie of Portland, Oregon; Jessica and Justins father, Gary Horner of El Dorado, Kansas; several cousins in Chillicothe and Portland and many friends and acquaintances in Amarillo and El Dorado.
