Linda Taylor, 73 of Amarillo, Texas passed away on September 24, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7pm, Friday September 29, 2023.
Linda was born on April 17, 1950 to Leslie Carter and Virginia Frazier in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968. Linda married the love of her life, Roland Taylor on October 25, 1972, and together they shared 48 years of marriage. She had a knack for working in her flower beds and gardening. She also spent many moments watching birds, playing dominoes, cooking for her family, and garage saling every weekend. Most importantly, she greatly enjoyed spending precious moments making memories and spending time with her family and friends. She also adored her five dogs, who were greatly spoiled and loved as well. She always made sure that they got a bite to eat from every single meal she ate. Linda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the matriarch and caretaker of her family and she will be greatly missed.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Taylor; and her son, Eddy Taylor.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her son, Les Taylor, of Amarillo; her daughter, Kimberly Hermesmeyer, of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Cody Taylor, Austin Strate, Ashley Wilson, Lori Taylor, Bailey Hermesmeyer, and Logan Taylor and one great-granddaughter on the way; nephews, Robby Carter and wife, Summer, Michael Hart; Niece, Lacey Callas and husband John; and special friends, Richard and Melody Izatt, Debbie Patterson, Nancy Hayes-Gafford, Gary Gunn, Linda Lunsford, Julie Curbo, and Debbie Carol.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
