Larry served his country for 31 years in the United States Navy. He first served in the Seabees and then in the EOD in bomb disposal. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander. While doing this Larry received his BS from Wayland Baptist College. His tours included Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Afghanistan just to name a few. He enjoyed working with dolphins and parachuting. He retired from Pantex after 11 years of service in safety management. After retiring from Pantex, he worked for Oak Ridge Associated Universities in their safety management program. Larry enjoyed rebuilding antique cars and was a member of the “Slo-Pokes car club. He enjoyed cars shows and won many awards. His family was very important to him along with his fur babies Bobo, Cruiser, Little Dog, and Duke.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark Cargill and mother Loretta Cargill.
Larry is survived by his wife Yolanda Cargill; father Truett Cargill; Sister Susan Taylor and husband Jim; Brother Johnny Cargill and wife Karol. Children Larry Cargill and wife Angelica; Mike Cargill and wife Debbie; Dax Cargill; Gina Orjalo and husband Jimmy; Gemma Gimeno; Gaspar Gallano, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren along with other family members.
