Kenneth “K.G.” Moore, 82 of Amarillo passed away February 3, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 7, 2015 at Bolton Street Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Green officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. K.G. was born August 18, 1932 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Ralph and Ethrel Moore. He moved to Amarillo at a young age and resided here ever since. K.G. married Peggy Thomas and they had 59 wonderful years together. He was an iron worker and a member of Iron Workers Local 408 for many years. In the late 1970’s he and Peggy got into real estate and have owned and maintained rental properties ever since. K.G. has worked his entire life, up until his death. He was a business man and a true provider for his family. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 4 great-grandchildren. K.G. is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Moore of Amarillo; sons, Tommy “Shorty” Moore and Ronnie Moore and wife Debi both of Amarillo; daughter, Tammie Moore-Loehe of Amarillo; special friend and caregiver, RayeLinda Stewart; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; he is also survived by a great-grandchild, Killian Loehe, who lived with K.G. and Peggy and helped take care of his great-granddad. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 415 SW 8th Ave # 300, Amarillo, TX 79101; Bolton St. Baptist Church, 2555 South Bolton Street, Amarillo, TX 79103; or to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler, Amarillo Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
